Plumbing rough-in stalls when you're wrestling a heavy steel wrench overhead in a crawl space. Gas line work in a mechanical room means tight angles and long hold times. That's where an 18" aluminum pipe wrench earns its keep — same bite as steel, 40% less arm fatigue by the end of the day.

This VEVOR wrench pairs an aluminum alloy body with a 60CrV jaw hardened to 52 HRC. The aluminum keeps it light (5.3 lbs for an 18-incher). The 60CrV keeps the jaw from chewing up — it's the same alloy spec used in quality hand tools, heat-treated for wear and deformation resistance. The jaw adjusts automatically when you open and clamp; no thumbscrew fiddling between pipe sizes.

Specs:

  • Overall length: 18" (457 mm)
  • Jaw capacity: 1.1"–3.5" diameter (27–89 mm)
  • Body material: Aluminum alloy
  • Jaw material: 60CrV alloy, 52 HRC, heat-treated
  • Handle: H-shaped ergonomic design
  • Net weight: 5.3 lbs (2.42 kg)
  • Model: TD0520

Good for:

  • Plumbing rough-in — water supply lines, drain runs, threaded iron pipe
  • Gas line work where you're holding position for long stretches
  • Automotive pipe fittings and exhaust work
  • Any job where you're carrying the wrench to a site and your wrist already knows it's going to be a long day

Not for:

This is a working tool at a budget price. It won't outlast a Ridgid, but it will get through a full plumbing job without wearing out your arm — and if it takes a bad fall and the jaw cracks, you're not filing a warranty claim. You're ordering another one.

It's nice cause it's light. But it's a two handed tool. You can't just set it and tighten and then use it as a ratchet to re grip and tighten again. You have to use one hand to make sure it bites to tighten or loosen. Good tool though, that's why I give it 4 stars.
