The job that stalls you is usually the one in a tight spot — an alternator bolt buried behind the intake, a sensor housing on a crowded firewall, a brake caliper bracket where there's no room to swing a 1/2" drive. That's exactly what a 3/8" drive set is for. Enough torque for real underhood work, compact enough to actually fit where you need it.

This VEVOR set covers 14 metric sizes from 7mm to 20mm — the range that handles the majority of Japanese, Korean, and European passenger car fasteners. Sockets are Cr-Mo alloy steel (HRC 42–48), shallow profile, with laser-etched size markings that don't rub off after a season in the box.

Good for:

• Lug nuts — use a 1/2" drive impact socket at the wheel; 3/8" drive isn't built for that torque level

• SAE fasteners — this is a metric-only set; pick up a separate SAE set if your vehicle needs it
